Monika Skaba-Szklarska

Monika specializes in the law of new technologies (IT/IP), commercial law (especially commercial contracts and company law) and data protection. She provides comprehensive legal and business advice to international and domestic companies, including global corporations.

Monika is an effective contract negotiator. She has practical knowledge of intellectual property and contract law, drafting and negotiating various types of agreements, including implementation, maintenance, license, service, supply, public procurement, and lease contracts, as well as terms of service for e-commerce and other sectors. Her expertise also includes compliance, contract management, and implementation of internal policies, such as privacy or corporate governance policies. Monika focuses on the business needs when providing commercial, strategic and corporate advisory services, restructuring companies, including M&A. She also provides legal advice on investment processes, commercialization and management of shopping and logistics centres.

Monika has almost 20 years of experience gained in international law firms in Poland and abroad, including the BIG4 and the Magic Circle. She has also served as an in-house counsel for some global corporations.

Graduate of postgraduate studies in New Technologies Law at the Institute of Law Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Russian Law Studies at St. Petersburg Institute of Law, and the Lazarski University in Warsaw. DAAD and Socrates-Erasmus scholarship holder. She studied in Poland (Adam Mickiewicz University) and in Germany (EKU-Tubingen, CAU-Kiel). Author of expert press publications.
