Grzegorz specialises in new technologies, data protection, e-commerce, CyberSec, FinTech, IP, corporate, commercial and M&A law matters.
He actively assists clients throughout the negotiation process.
He has been working with personal data protection and privacy since 2010. When GDPR emerged, he was already well-recognised and experienced in the field (he provided ongoing advice to Nasza Klasa Sp. z o.o. – a Polish social media platform that, in 2012, competed with Facebook in Poland – it had over 15 million active users and actively utilised terabytes of user-generated content and data). In 2017, Grzegorz was a key advisor for a multinational Norwegian telecommunication company (Telenor ASA) and spent almost a year in Oslo to help the corporation achieve GDPR and privacy compliance across 10 jurisdictions worldwide.
He is the author of numerous publications on legal challenges involving data protection law matters and co-author of three books on privacy and data protection topics: “Personal Data Protection in HR Departments According to GDPR,” “Personal Data Protection in the IT Department” and “Personal Data Protection in HR Departments: Answers to 370 Most Difficult Questions” (PRESSCOM Publishing House). He is also the author of a book on the Digital Services Act (C.H. BECK) and numerous publications on AI, including “Legal Guide to AI” (Silesian Startup Foundation – https://slaskiestartupy.pl/ebooki/).
Grzegorz is a frequent and valued speaker at conferences, seminars, advisory panels and workshops.
Grzegorz actively supports clients in the role of Data Protection Officer. Former DPO at KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., currently serving as DPO at Oktawave S.A. (Nest Bank Group).
Grzegorz has overseen the execution of various transformation, merger and restructuring processes, along with negotiating corporate acquisition and divestiture transactions.
He has been advising major players in the e-commerce industry for years, including one of the largest companies in Central and Eastern Europe, operating in both Polish and international markets.
He is well-known for his versatile (commercial, contentious and corporate) support services, covering all legal aspects of IP, with outstanding expertise in niche, fast-evolving areas such as new technologies, IT software and IP licensing.
He is the vice-president of the FinTech Committee at the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications and serves as an expert at the Digital Forum of the Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers (ZPP).
He is the president of the arbitration court – Arbitrzy Sp. z o.o.
He worked for one of Poland’s largest law firms, where he led the Warsaw office and spearheaded the development of the firm’s new technologies (TMT/GDPR) and M&A practices.
