On Thursday, 23 January, the popular GPT Chat stopped working. The failure was reported by thousands of concerned Internet users.

The website providing online access to the popular GPT Chat stopped working for a while on Thursday, 23 January. The failure occurred around 1 p.m. CET, as can be clearly seen on the Downdetector.pl service’s notification chart. Interestingly, the websites of OpenAI, the company responsible for GPT Chat, were still working at the same time.

At the same time, problems were also reported with other OpenAI services. The GPT-4o and GPT-4 models were not working. Some users reported that the chatgpt.com and chat.openai.com websites were not opening. Others noticed that GPT Chat was not responding to their questions. The applications created to operate this model were also not responding.

This would not be the first failure of GPT Chat. In the last few weeks, there have been brief service interruptions. The biggest one occurred in December, when there was a major failure in the United States, which also resulted in errors in other OpenAI services.
